We have officially welcomed our first icky cold! But worry not, this mama was prepared! I had everything on hand.
Local Raw Honey
Thieves Essential Oil
And all the ingredients to make Slippery Elm Throat Lozenges by Amy Karol (from The Rhythm Of Family by Amanda Blake Soul)
These were not only very simple, but they taste amazing! What You'll Need:
- 1/2 cup powdered slippery elm
- 1/4 cup tea (I made peppermint and lemon balm tea from fresh herb I had in the garden)
- 1-2 tablespoons honey
Once you'd made the tea add the honey, then mix in the powdered slippery elm. Form a ball, and roll or press/pat flat (1/4 inch thick). I used a circle fondant cutter, but you can use anything like a bottle cap or medicine cup to cut out the lozenges. Allow these to dry, you can let them sit out for a day or 2 or use a dehydrator. Store in a tin or jar in a cool dry place.
